Our products contain Kelp seaweed (Saccharina latissima) and sea lettuce (Ulva Fenestrata), offering unique flavors and high nutritional value. Sugar Kelp and macroalgae in general provide both environmental and nutritional benefits. They play a crucial role in the deacidification of the oceans, while providing us with Omega-3, rare vitamins, and minerals.

Luca is passionate about innovation in the sustainable nutrition sector and is dedicated to revolutionizing the field by creating delicious and nutritious snacks entirely made from macroalgae, an incredibly versatile and nutrient-rich resource. With the support of his team, Luca launched a range of products that promote the well-being of both the body and the planet. He has also established partnerships with local farmers, distributors, and retailers, and secured funding from private investors.

Luca’s passion for seaweed and the ocean also stems from his academic background in international management and his personal life, dedicated to sailing and kitesurfing. He graduated from CEMS – The Global Alliance in Management Education and studied at Copenhagen Business School, Georgetown University, and ESADE Business & Law School, gaining exposure to diverse markets, cultures, and perspectives.

Before founding KelpEat, Luca worked as a consultant at Be | Shaping the Future Italy and as an analyst in Deloitte’s fintech team, where he honed his skills in consulting, strategy, and management advisory. He has also been involved in various entrepreneurial and social initiatives, such as organizing hackathons, mentoring startups, and volunteering for NGOs.

Luca is always eager to learn new things, explore new opportunities, and collaborate with people who share his vision for a healthier and more sustainable future. He is fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and French, and enjoys traveling, reading, and practicing water sports.
