“Ocean RegenerArt” call for proposals
One Ocean Foundation & KelpEat together for a special edition of algae snack

Together with the launch of its new Gracilaria‑based healthy bite, sustainable‑food pioneer KelpEat has joined forces with One Ocean Foundation to unveil Ocean RegenerArt, an open call that blends art, science and nutrition in the service of healthier ocean.

The initiative invites artists, collectives and creatives worldwide to design a signature artwork for the forthcoming Special Edition snack, symbolically showcasing the deep bond between seaweed innovation and ocean stewardship. Submissions should celebrate red seaweed - specifically Gracilaria hayi (Irish moss / ogonori) - as a living icon of regeneration, ocean health and a more sustainable future.

What selected artists receive

• Global visibility through One Ocean Foundation and KelpEat’s media, social and retail channels
• Showcase opportunities in curated events and flagship stores
• Portfolio expansion & international exposure within the blue‑economy community
• Networking with scientists, entrepreneurs and fellow creatives
• VIP invitation to the product’s official launch event later this year

How to apply

Deadline: 23:59 CET, 3 August 2025

Submission materials:

1. Final artwork (Adobe Illustrator .ai file)
2. Short motivation paragraph explaining why you’d like to contribute and how your artwork relates to the themes of seaweed and ocean regeneration
3. CV & Portfolio (optional: we will keep them in our database for potential future collaborations)

To support your creative process, you’ll be provided with:

• Brand guidelines – including all visual references such as logos, color palette, and typography
• Packaging die-cut template – the exact layout of the current product packaging to guide your design
